Stephen Canwell
Global Head of Architecture – Payments, HSBC UK

Our lead speaker, Steve Canwell is the Chief Architect for Payments, Global Liquidity and Cash Management for HSBC globally. He is responsible for the design of technology systems that support Retail, Commercial and Investment banking customers in 53 countries across Asia, Middle East, Europe, and the Amercas. These systems process 4.4 Bn transactions with a value of $425 Tn annually.

Payments Technical Services Director, Global Payments
Lloyds Banking Group

Otto is Payments Technical Services Director at Lloyds Banking Group. He plays a leading role in defining the strategic direction for payments across Lloyds Banking Group, building strong relationships with the Group’s Commercial and Retail divisions as well as influencing across the UK's payments industry. He is a graduate of Queens’ College Cambridge, where he studied Engineering. Otto has been a Director of BACS and Payments UK, and has sat on the Strategy Forum of the Payments Systems Regulator, where he chaired the workstream in charge of creating the New Payments Architecture.
