Start your public speaking journey with us.

1. Why Toastmasters?

If your goal includes developing your confidence, becoming a better speaker, or changing your career, then Toastmasters is for you! Whether you are a manager, a professional, in between jobs or a student with some or no public speaking experience, Toastmasters can help you in your journey to becoming a better public speaker. Toastmasters members learn to conquer their fear by working with others in a warm, friendly and supportive atmosphere.

2. Why AFCA - about us.

AFCA Toastmasters is a dynamic club. There's so much fun and camaraderie, all in a friendly, positive and supportive learning environment. AFCA Toastmasters is not a classroom. It is a 'learn-by-doing' workshop where you learn at your own pace, and develop your communication and leadership skills with like-minded individuals in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. AFCA members share a common commitment to a worthwhile goal. This energizes our meetings and makes learning fun.

3. Your learning path.

Your public speaking journey is led by a Pathways and mentoring program, consisting of projects designed to help:

overcome nervousness through preparation and practice,
think on your feet and deliver a short speech with little or no preparation,
communicate confidently with proper eye contact and body language,
capture the audience's attention and create impactful statements,
connect with your audience by using your personal experiences, and
persuade and promote like a leader.

4. Try it out as a guest.

Guests visit for free. As a guest, you will learn how AFCA Toastmasters meetings run, meet our friendly members, and hear their experiences. Check out our next meeting here, or sign up for meetings through Meetup.
