We had a great turnout. The Weems Creek jammers had folks waltzing in the aisles. Some folks brought their latest and greatest musical toys. Instruments ran the technological gamut from the 18th to 21st century, it was pretty cool.

Our featured performers this coming Sunday are the Weems Creek Jammers. They play traditional 19th Century American dance music – awesome jigs, reels, waltzes, hornpipes. This is pure music you would have heard at a community dance in 1855. And let me tell you – it swings. You will find yourself foot-tapping, bouncing, and maybe even jumping up and two-stepping. We’re talking a 9-piece band here, with guitars, mandolins, banjo, concertina, flute, accordion, and hammered dulcimer. You’ll hear the roots of country and bluegrass, and lots of Celtic overtones.

This is great stuff, and something you don’t hear every day.
