A friend of Mine who owns a travel agency has put together a great trip visiting some of the most beautiful parks in the Southwest, including Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon (during Star Party - great for night photography), Arches, Monument Valley, etc. Here is the trip description and payment details.
Day 1: June 17 (Sat) – Arrive in Las Vegas, NV - Welcome to Las Vegas! Arrive at the airport and enjoy the day at leisure. This evening we will join our Tour Director and traveling companions for a welcome drink in the hotel.
Day 2 – June 18 (Sun) – Las Vegas – Grand Canyon National Park, AZ - Williams -Enjoy the morning at leisure. Leave the bright neon lights of Las Vegas behind and cross the old Mojave gold-strike country, passing through Williams on historic Route 66 and Kaibab National Forest to arrive at GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK. Marvel at one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World as you experience the dramatic views. There’s time to wander along the canyon rim, join a ranger-led program, or perhaps just savor the sunset. Weather permitting, the group will take part in the Star Party (includes photographing the milky way. To learn more about the star party please visit https://www.nps.gov/grca/planyourvisit/grand-canyon-star-party.htm) before heading to Williams for their overnight. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 3 – June 19 (Mon) – Williams. Grand Canyon National Park Day Excursion - Take an unforgettable journey into the canyon on the GRAND CANYON RAILROAD. From your 1950s-era passenger car, while strolling musicians roam playing tunes of yesteryear, marvel at one of the Natural Wonders of the World as you experience breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon. The afternoon is at your leisure to participate in ranger programs, hike and explore. If star gazing did not occur last evening the group will stay through until late evening at Grand Canyon and return to Williams later, otherwise the group will transfer back early evening. Return to Williams. (Breakfast)
Day 4 – June 20 (Tues) – Williams – Lake Powell - This morning, travel north to the shining shores of Lake Powell. The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore on your own and to sit back and relax. For those interested, there is an optional boat cruise. (Breakfast)
Day 5 – June 21 (Wed) – Lake Powell – Monument Valley, UT - This morning, continue into Navajo country to the heart of Monument Valley. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 6 – June 22 (Thurs) – Monument Valley – Moab - In the cool hours of morning, set out with a Navajo guide in a comfortable 4-WHEEL-DRIVE vehicle to explore Monument Valley. Day 8 – June 24 (Sat) – Moab – Bryce Canyon National Park - A day of rich contrasts leads you to BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK. The natural amphitheaters and canyons glow from different lighting throughout the day. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 9 – June 25 (Sun) – Bryce Canyon National Park – Zion National Park – St. George - After a leisurely morning, descend into half-mile-deep ZION NATIONAL PARK.
