    Also Harry's pizza was an unencrypted connection. At home surly you have an ecrypted network. Then you might look into wpasupplicant. Or if Mint has a GUI tool to setup passphrases for wifi.

    Will most likely need to put a password in at home, after selecting your SSID, case sensitive(capslock). Your wifi switch might be in the off postion. Or your hardware might be B/G and your router is N type wifi frequency. Could be you've figured it by now too.
