Join us for a leisurely (10-12MPH) 26 mile ride along the historic Blackstone Valley Bikeway.

We will start the ride at the Blackstone Valley Visitor Center on Route 295. We'll ride partway approx 5 miles on the paved bike path from Cumberland to Lincoln and then follow the on- and off-road bikeway 8 miles from Central Falls to India Point, Providence. At India Point we'll stop for a picnic lunch (bring lunch) overlooking the confluence of the Seekonk and Providence Rivers.
Along the way we will stop for short visits at Slater Mills and Chocolateville.

On our way back we will stop for a Ranger-led tour of the Captain Wilbur Kelly House and the locks along the canal of the Blackstone River.

NOTE: This ride is not entirely on a bike path. We will be on a marked bike route and/or bike lanes on low traffic roads from Central Falls through Pawtucket into Providence where we bike down the beautiful and broad Blackstone Boulevard with its stately homes.

This is a joint trip with the AMC Boston Chapter Forty Plus Committee
