South Shore 30/47 mile Beach Ride

Moderate paced 30/47 mile ride starting in Hingham. 24 miles will be along the scenic coast and beaches of Scituate and Cohasset and Hull. Those interested in more swimming can skip Hull(and 17 miles) and spending time at Sandy Beach.

If you are interested, you will need a working bike, spare tire, bike helmet, bright clothes and sun block. Swim suit and towel optional. Bring lunch if stay at beach. The map show our four stops where we will stop and regroup. Meet 8:45 at Hingham High School for a 9:00 AM start.

This ride is sponsored by the AMC Boston Chapter Bike Committee. Helmets are required and you will be asked to sign a liability release waiver.

    To make it a bit more challenging, I am considering biking to Wompatuck (and back) from Brookline so I don't have to drive:

    Any suggestions on how to improve this route? (I am pretty comfortable getting to Blue Hills from Brookline - beyond that it is somewhat dicey..)
