DNA of the Mind by Sharon Criss, SRC, Fourth Saturday Mystical Seekers Series
-Free Admission - Refreshments - Open to the public - Our unique sacred geometry are the structures in which our thoughts and personalities reside. Our DNA is temporary housing for our transit souls. Our DNA and our minds are linked. Research has shown that DNA can be changed by our thoughts. More clearly our mental state has a direct influence on our physical structure. All sacred patterns, such as DNA can be used to clarify positive potential in humanity’s evolution. DNA: FROM THE MIND TO THE BODY The longer the telomeres the longer the lifespan. Telomeres are the caps on our chromosomes which help to keep our chromosomes from deteriorating. When our chromosomes weaken due to aging it is because the caps on the end of our DNA have become frayed and are letting the strands of DNA unravel. One of the many ways to fight against DNA damage is through mindful targeted meditation. Some evidence suggests telomeres can be regrown under the right conditions. Meditation, diet, and a reduced stress lifestyle all aid in regrowing telomeres. Researchers have discovered meditation seems to affect longevity of the physical body starting deep within the cells. The length of our telomers are directly related to aging. Older people have shorter telomeres. So meditation, particularly if the meditation is directed toward helping others, have been shown to repair the end caps of DNA. Meditation focused on strengthening others are especially effective in lengthening telomeres. Why does meditation carry this benefit? Why would a yoga pose affect the way a body processes inflammation? Science mostly sees the mind as an attribute of the brain. But perhaps a more useful model would be the dualism of the mind-body. In this model the mind remains “out there” as a collective consciousness with an individual expression. DNA is also the core spiritual, physical, and energetic signature which contains elements of geometry. DNA exists because of vibration. Meditation and other mind-body activities support healthy bodies. Sharon Criss is a seeker who has an intense interest in science and metaphysics.
