Join us on Wednesday 27th April for an interactive session with special guest Alessandro Hatami, the Founder of ‘The Pacemakers’ - an innovation advisory focused on digital change, working with both start-ups and larger businesses.

Alessandro's background

Alessandro is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for digital innovation and deep experience within the world of FinTech. His company, The Pacemakers acts as a bridge between the growing UK FinTech community and large corporates, with the scope of creating and launching viable innovation in the payments, financial services and banking industries.

Before founding The Pacemakers, Alessandro was part of the Lloyds Banking Group Digital Executive, initially as COO of Digital Banking and more recently as Group Digital Payments and Innovation Director. Prior to LBG he was the MD of, an online payments business part of PayPoint Plc. Alessandro entered the payments industry in 2004 by joining PayPal Corp as Director of Large Merchant Services responsible for creating a payments proposition for large businesses. Alessandro started in digital back in 1999 by launching GE Capital's first European website.

At our ANDchat Meetup, Alessandro will be inviting people to think about the rise of the NeoBank and what it would look like to become a truly customer-centric digital bank.

He will cover:

• The wider adoption of digital technology and its impact on the changing landscape of financial services and banking today

• How most digital banking propositions are making mistakes when introducing digital into their new products and services, rather than thinking in a more disruptive way - how they are making faster horses, not faster cars!

• What a bank would look like if we redesigned it from the bottom up and focused on real customer needs, using the most advanced digital technology (mobile, big data, roboadvice, hyper-personalisation and more) to go beyond the current banking business models. What would the NeoBank really look like?

As always, there will be plenty of opportunities for networking with like-minded people - and plenty of free pizza and beers!
