In this long-awaited seminar and Q & A, you will learn about caring for your piano, voicing, tuning, how a piano action works, tips on buying used pianos, and answers to your piano maintenance questions. This is a free seminar taught by John Evans, an expert in his field. John is a registered piano technician with the Piano Technicians Guild, pianist, and accompanist.

2:00pm Seminar by John Evans

3:15pm Intermission

3:30pm Piano Recital by Outstanding Amateurs

Both the seminar and recital are FREE to attend, but an RSVP on this Meetup page is highly recommended. We expect a large turnout so arrive early for best seats.

Would you like to perform for this recital? After a short intermission, we are hosting a recital! There is availability for up to (8) pianists to join us for a program of classical music, the choice of repertoire is up to you! A performance fee of $20 pay-for-play fee goes directly towards our operating costs.

To perform, please please click here ([masked]) to send an email to Glenn Kramer ([masked]), and include the name of the piece(s), the composer(s) full name, and duration (up to 10 minutes). After confirming there is room on the program, the next step is to use the yellow PayPal donation button at the bottom of our homepage www.AmateurPianists.org (http://www.amateurpianists.org/) to pay the $20 pay-for-play fee.

Attendees at our piano recitals should be ages 7 and up. Pianists who wish to perform need to be ages 18 and up. Please note that due to a high demand of requests to perform, our Meetup members are permitted to play up to three recitals per year, at a maximum of two consecutive events.

Thank you for supporting AmateurPianists!
