This month marks the 66th anniversary of the Roswell UFO incident and according to Joel, the Museum of Discovery's visitor experience director, most UFO sightings happen in July. Therefore, this month's Science After Dark will be about UFOs. We're throwing in some Big Foot, Loch Ness Monster and general Cryptozoology for fun!
This monthly event at the Museum of Discovery (http://museumofdiscovery.org/) is for the grown-ups. Why? Because, science is fun...at any age! Science After Dark (http://museumofdiscovery.org/events/science-after-dark-4) provides visitors the opportunity to have fun and learn about science in a unique setting (without the wild, screaming kids that can often ruin a museum experience). Museum educators pick a science-related topic and build an entertaining, interactive evening around it. You never know what will sprout, pop, fizzle, or glow. We invite you to discover the science of having fun.
Did science inspire science fiction, or was it the other way around? Join us as we explore some interesting facts about ancient and modern sci-fi! Trivia Challenge, Laser Maze, Robot Races, UFO Discussion. Feel free to come as one of the following: Alien, Robot, Mad Scientist, Radioactive Lizard (think Godzilla!)
Join us the last Wednesday of the month!
