*Crush Wine Bar is in NORTH Little Rock*
Dr. Richard Carrier, who frequently speaks at secular conferences, is passing through the area on a promotional tour and invites us to meet with him. And the date he picked to hang out in with us? It's his birthday!
In his invitation, he said, "We can talk history, philosophy, politics, ancient science, polyamory, or about any of my published work, or even your own thing—I love meeting people in new places and hearing their life stories, experiences, and perspectives, and getting a feel from them for the local culture and politics, and the diverse passions of humanity."
Richard Carrier has a Ph.D. in the history of philosophy from Columbia University and is a published philosopher and historian. He specializes in contemporary philosophy of naturalism, in Greco-Roman philosophy, science, and religion, and in the origins of Christianity. He blogs regularly, lectures for community groups worldwide, and teaches courses online.
He is the author of many books including Sense and Goodness without God, On the Historicity of Jesus, and Proving History, as well as chapters in several anthologies and articles in academic journals.
