New Member Pot Luck Shindig!

Our New Member Pot-Luck Shindigs have been a great success. The legend continues as Anne Orsi once again opens her home to us for another fun evening. Don't let the name fool you! - We need old members to attend as well, to help us welcome the new folks. If you haven't been to a meeting yet, this would be a great place to start! It's a great opportunity to get together and share our "deconversion" stories, our values as freethinkers, talk about what kind of future events you're interested in, and just get to know each other over some food.

Bring your favorite dish or beverage to share. Friends and family are welcome. Anne's basement is kid-friendly and even has children's books, toys, and a television for entertainment. The kids are definitely welcome.

If the weather is good, anyone who wants to can swim.

We hope to see you there!

Parking can be a challenge in Hillcrest, especially where the old streets are narrow and stone walls line them. There is no parking on Oak St, and parking on Oakwood is very limited. If cars are parked on both sides of Oakwood, no one can get through. Therefore, we give you...

Parking instructions:

If you do not find a spot on Oakwood (and you probably won't), we suggest parking on H street east of Oak and walking a block to Anne's house.

Had a blast. Sorry I did not have time to say hello to everyone but Stephanie was way entertaining with her words.

Thank you to Ann for opening your home to a complete stranger. What a beautiful house and group of friends you have!

I would like to bring fresh from-scratch bread. It would be at its peak if I could bake it in your oven Ann. Don't know whether that would be OK. The smell of baking bread is divine.

Bikinis are all I have. I hope that'll be ok.

One can only hope since prayer is of no use.

Stephanie: Can you not *believe* in bathing suits but still wear one?

But bathing suits are against my religion!!!!!!!!!!

Swimsuits are not optional! Children may be present!

    July 3, 2012

  • George S

Should we bring our bathing suits?
    Or will they be optional?

Corona is the Bud Lite Lime of Mexico. It offends no one. Bring it on! Limon amarillo es muy bueno, limon verde es bueno tambien!
I'm thinking of making a big pot of chili to bring, so it's a natural!

Does anyone not like Corona? I drink it with lemon too, not lime.
