Join us at Title Wave for a discussion of Ruth Colvin Clark's newest book!
Evidence-Based Training Methods: A Guide for Training Professionals

* Thanks to a growing body of research evidence, we've learned a great deal in the last 20 years about which methods really work when training people. Yet many trainers still use time-honored methods and assume they work -- despite recent evidence to the contrary.

* Whether you're a classroom instructor, training manager, or designer of e-learning, your training will be more effective when you base your methods on evidence. With this book as your guide, you can thoroughly incorporate evidence and learning psychology into your program design, development, and delivery decisions. You'll save your organization time and money wasted on training fads that don't work, and invest resources more productively in proven training methods.

The discussion will be led by member Chris Ross, CSP, CPLP. He is the founder and President of The Engagement Effect, a consulting firm that partners with organizations to achieve desired performance results. Ross has over 30 years of experience as a performance consultant and trainer.

You may want to listen and learn, then read the book yourself, or add to the conversation by sharing your favorite sections.

Join us for the next gathering at Title Wave Books in Anchorage at 6 PM. Everyone is welcome. There will be time for mingling and networking, so bring your business cards!
