A model release is like a condom. It
protects it’s user. Don’t use one at your own risk. Frankly, I
think the model deserves to know what you can and can’t do and what she
can and can’t do with the images. And then of course are the agency
releases….

Release Question
For me it depends on what I am going to do with the photo, because
I am a MFA student I do not always require a model release If I feel that I
will be using the photos in the future to print then I will get a model
release, but in general you can sell a fine art print with no model releases
but you can not mass produce that image but I don’t remember what the
number is that you can sell, I do want to let you know though if you were to
take the photographer to court you would have to show that the photo damaged
you the court really does work for the arts unbelievable hope this helps
