The TAOFit Climbing Hang-out at Austin Bouldering Project

Austin Bouldering Project

Come join our tribe. There are usually 2-4 of us any given week. We have a blast and learn a ton from each other. Open to all skill levels. If you're a beginner we'll gladly show you the basics. The goal is to support each other to become more skilled and capable movers. Climbing is an excellent movement for the body and a ton of fun. Topics of discussion: *Human Movement *Meaning of life *Relationships *The ridiculous and absurd *And anything else you'd like to discuss I will get there between 9a-9:30a to warm up. You're welcome to join me for a nice pre-climbing warm-up movement flow. (Send me a message ahead of time if you want to warm up with me). The event is free. Although, you will have to pay ABP entry fees - roughly $20 for shoes and climbing. Hit me up if it's the first time at ABP. We get a few free passes to hand out each month for anyone new to ABP. I'd hate for them to go to waste. Austin Bouldering Project 979 Springdale Rd, Austin TX 78702 Suite #150 (I know it's far, but it's worth it... You are worth it!) If you've never been to Austin Bouldering Project, you can save 15 minutes by filling out their waiver online. https://app.rockgympro.com/waiver/esign/austinbp/959d3e9f-d52c-4498-bc3f-02b36946cd93

Field Mojo - High energy 6 ball sport.

Ramsey Playground

A tag, kickball, and dodgeball hybrid in a field. Born and raised in Austin. The game is Field Mojo. And yes, this is really a sport. Many weeks we will have games on both Saturday and Sunday. After the games we're going to a bar right around the corner, the Draught House. Very new player friendly. Website: http://fieldmojo.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/austinmojo/ We will do a practice and tutorial for new players. We always get around 30 players an event so don't be alarmed if there aren't a lot of RSVPs from this posting.

Tacos and Two Steppin' at The White Horse

The White Horse Honky Tonk

Step on out to The White Horse for Tacos and Two Steppin. Bomb Taco has the Tacos on the patio. They have an awesome taco menu that is the bomb! Inside with Two Left Foots has the best lesson in town at 7:00 followed by Dave Insley and the Careless Smokers at 8:00. Two Left Foots provides a beginner-beginner lesson with plenty of work on the basic step, leading and following, a basic turn, and awesome styling. Don't worry about bringing a partner, they pair folks up during the lesson and rotate partners throughout the lesson. It's a great way to meet a bunch of people and after the lesson there's a bunch of people to dance with and practice what you just learned. There's lots of beginners so you'll be in good company for dancing. The dance crowd at the White Horse is friendly and are looking to dance too. No cover before the lesson, $5 cover later, also bring a little extra cash for tipping for lesson and band. $5 suggested donation for the dance lesson. Parking on the street. Check the signs for paid street parking, pay at kiosks and put tag in the window. FYI - Free parking on Comal St just north of 7th Street next to the cemetery. Bonus - if you ask the ghosts nicely they'll watch your car for you. Arrive early to give yourself plenty of time to find parking and enjoy a cold beverage. Cheap PBR in cans and on tap. Where to meet: Between the end of the bar and sound booth - that's where the cool kids hang out. Venue questions see: http://www.thewhitehorseaustin.com/
