# AWS Direct Connect - Changes to Connectivity
- Nicholas Hollings
AWS Direct Connect is a way to provide private connectivity to AWS tenancies to reduce latency, increase bandwidth and manage costs. There have been many recent changes to the way Direct Connect works, especially around Direct Connect Gateway and the coming Transit Gateway.
# AWS amplify - hosting, auth, data storage and analytics all rolled into one
- Matthew Merriel
In this presentation I'll be taking a look at AWS amplify, a library released by AWS to assist in building sophisticated cloud-powered apps. I'll work through the feature and demonstrate how you can build, deploy and manage a simple web application.
If you would like to volunteer or present at a future meetup please get in touch via the website: https://melb.awsug.org.au/get-involved
