A quick 'administrative' message from the AWS meetup team: We (inSided.com (http://www.insided.com)) have taken over the lead for organising the AWS meetups which we all enjoy so much. I am CTO & co-founder of inSided and me and my team work closely together with 9apps to grow our platform. I want to say thanks to the folks at 9apps (http://www.9apps.net) for their efforts in bringing us great presentations from great speakers with very interesting stories in the past years during the AWS meetups. 9apps will still be 'on board' for these meet ups of course. If you have any questions regarding this change feel free to add me on twitter (@woutneyn (http://twitter.com/woutneyn)) or send me an e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org).
We are happy to announce a new meetup about AWS Cloudformation on the 20th of february in Amsterdam @ the Cloudreach (http://www.cloudreach.com) office!
Howard Glynn will talk about AWS Cloudformation "in practice" - going beyond the documentation examples. Cloudformation is an AWS service to allow you to describe your infrastructure in a JSON file. He will share many lessons learned, tips and general strategies for success and cover recommendations taken from implementations at a handful of different Cloudreach clients. There will not be too much JSON(!) and all levels of AWS users should gain some useful insights to this powerful yet sometimes difficult to understand feature.
Howard is a Systems Developer with the Platforms team in Edinburgh at Cloudreach. At Cloudreach, he has worked with diverse customers such as Localworld, Financial Times and Channel 4 on wide ranging projects, delivering consultancy advice and bespoke solutions in the AWS cloud, tailored to client needs.
