AWS Roundtable Show 'N Tell

Next Tuesday...

As I mentioned at the end of last month's meeting, I'd like to shake things up a bit to introduce a bit more variety. Tentatively scheduled for December is Microsoft who will be presenting on Azure and how it differs from AWS. However, for November let's do a "roundtable show 'n tell."

If possible (but don't feel obligated), please plan a 5-10 minute presentation on something interesting you're doing with AWS *or* come equipped with a great puzzler of a question to discuss for 5-10 minutes. Speed nerding.

Looks like US-East finally caught a break and escaped Sandy unscathed. However, it did have a profound effect on the Internet as a whole.

In case you missed it...

Michael J Bommarito gave us a tour of CloudSearch and it's use in the field of legal informatics. Eric Detterman presented on using EC2 to drastically reduce the time and costs needed for serious number crunching in the world of finance. (Updated: now including a link to Eric.)

The last AWS buzz...
