Alpine Singletrack in Prescott--Thumb Butte Rec Area: Easier-Intermediate
Enjoy the easier terrain, and sweeping views of Prescott valley on Javelina #332 trail๐Ÿ˜Š Expect 6-9 miles as an up-and-back depending on how everyone feels and plenty of viewing rest stops plus a fun side trail depending on group choice... It's earlier to avoid heat but enough time to leave Phx metro at a decent time. Optional: then we go out for a pub-grub to stave off the famine metabolic state. ๐Ÿ˜‹ Safety and proper singletrack trail etiquette will be strictly promoted. HELMET REQUIRED! Please bring any food stuffs/hydration needed.๐Ÿ‘ Also, don't forget a spare tube and/or flat tire repair tools to be self- sufficient ๐Ÿคž ๐Ÿ•๏ธ Camping option...I tent/car camp super near the trailhead within the pines. So your welcome to hangout Saturday night.

    What we're about

You mountain bike aka MTB! You're mellow! You're Single (and legally not married)! You're 21 years or older! We are a mtber group full of mellow, single peeps that seek adventure, and of course singletrack outings all over AZ, and occasionally, the trails of the surrounding Southwest.

    "Mellow" means:

    1. Ride together....That you ride the pace of the slowest member of the group, probably don't Strava, not looking to train for races, and are willing NOT to give unsolicited riding/mechanical/trail advice...please don't be that guy/gal.

    2. Ride as "friendlies"...While we encourage singles connecting, we are not a "dating group". As such, we still expect members to be adults, empathetic and appropriate. Please no trolling, no stalking and/or no unwanted advances toward members who are not giving the explicit "thumbs up" to pursue that individual. Clarify with her/him first and be ready to apologize sincerely if the social cues are interpreted incorrectly...Plus, it's awkward to host events, and retain members on local and overnight excursions, when peeps are playing cat-and-mouse games. Lastly, we will not referee incidents and relational drama, we'll just ask all involved to leave the event, and probably boot repeat offenders from the group...after all, our prime directive is to mtb mellow-like.

    3. Celebrate post-ride responsibly...Consume libations in moderation. Sorry, no illegal drugs! Most events offer an optional "pub/grub" post ride eating experiences. Breweries (occasionally wineries) are commonplace--even on local rides... ;D>

    4. Ride weapons-free. Sorry, please keep all firearms/"weapons" secured in your vehicle or at home, not on the trail or even the campsite...just as event hosts do!

We focus on mainly intermediate riding levels. Occasionally, some beginner rides are offered on the easier, groomed single-track. Regarding skill/fitness levels, and for the most part, you're healthy, and are doing cardio work of some kind 2-3/wk, and have at least some mtb singletrack experience. The experience means that you are self-sufficient on the trail, know basic trail riding etiquette and safety, and are prepared for AZ's outdoor, summer heat!

We try to avoid extreme temps, so most summer rides are offered in cooler AZ northern climates like Flag, Prescott, Pinetop, Pine/Payson. Much of non-summer riding is local trail systems such as Brown's Ranch, Apache Wash, Gold Canyon, FINS, Hawes, and South Mtn, (some BCT shuttle-rides too), or out of town in Sedona and Tucson destinations.
