Are you interested in learning more about compassionate eating? What about learning more about other living choices that impact animals and the environment? Would you like to learn practical steps you can take towards adopting a vegan or plant-based diet? Do you want to connect and collaborate with other like-minded individuals on these issues? Do you want to support and promote animal care through these compassionate actions? Then this group might be for you!

Purpose: The purpose of this action group is to bring together people in Abbotsford-Chilliwack area who are interested in extending and promoting care, mercy, and justice to animals through compassionate eating and other living choices. Various educational, social, and advocacy activities will be organized to learn, share, and participate in making a difference for animals and the world we live in.    

Event Ideas:

• Vegan potlucks and dine-outs

• Presentations and speakers

• Fund-raising and volunteer events

• Documentaries and educational DVDs

• Book club

• Vegan cooking demonstrations and classes

From those who are interested in taking their first steps towards compassionate eating and living to those already committed to this movement and are looking for ways to be more involved, everyone is welcome to this group!
