Details

We'll start the day by processing our local acorns "The Old Way" using mortars and pestles. And then cook up some delicious and nutritious acorn pancakes and eat them (other tasty healthy ingredients will added such as nuts, seeds and berries). Enjoy the exercise, camaraderie, the great outdoors and connection with our wonderful ancient primitive roots.

Next we will practice a primitive fire making technique called the "fire saw" method, using the dead, dried stalk of the yucca or agave plant. If time and interest allows we may practice additional skills or take a plant walk.

Note: It's always good to arrive about 15 minutes early for sign-in so we can start on time.
