What we're about

Ace Adventure is an adventure outfitter based in Singapore. Founded in 1999, Ace Adventure has become the benchmark of quality in the adventure community. We have established a good reputation in organizing and leading mountain climbing expeditions to the Himalayas, the Seven Summits, all around Asia and beyond.

We understand that being a leading adventure outfitter, it is important to offer quality services beyond arranging for reliable ground support. We're with you in every step of the journey starting from planning to post trip. The aim is to help each individual make informed decisions, prepare well and gain better knowledge about the great outdoors and oneself with each climb/trek. Not forgetting to have a good time and make new friends too!

It doesn’t matter if you are a seasoned trekker/climber or first timer, you can pick a trek/climb which meet your experience and goals.

To help you with your initial planning, we have classified and graded our treks/climbs .

An example : Mt Kilimanjaro = Peak Climbing / Grade 2C

Refer to Types of Adventure (http://aceadventure.org/mountaineering/)and Trek/Climb Grading (http://aceadventure.org/trip-grading/).

We organized 3 types of treks/climbs:

(1) Treks/climbs with a team leader under our Mountain Climbing Challenge (http://aceadventure.org/annual-climbing-challenges/)events. These are mainly the more challenging climbs such as those involving multi-peaks, extreme altitude and cold weather, self supported camping or ice & snow terrain.

(2) Open group scheduled treks/climbs (http://aceadventure.org/expedition-calendar-2/expedition-free-independent-group/) by us & our local partners

(3) private group treks/climbs (groups of friends, corporate groups and schools)

Mountain Climbing Challenge:

To promote mountain climbing and to encourage people to challenge themselves physically and mentally, we have initiated and introduced a few annual climbing events into our calendar. They are :

- Women On Mountains (http://aceadventure.com.sg/programme/women-on-mountains)

- Twin Peaks Challenge (http://aceadventure.com.sg/programme/iwd-kilimanjaro-2016)

- Ice and Snow Peak Challenge (http://aceadventure.com.sg/programme/iwd-kilimanjaro-2016)

More Than A Trek - Charity Initiative

More Than A Trek (http://aceadventure.com.sg/programme/more-than-a-trek-charity-initatives) is our charity initiatives to give back to the local communities we travel to. The aim is to help improve the living standards of some of the world’s most marginalized groups or communities, including in Singapore. We identified and tie-up with charities or NGOs to raise awareness and fund for their projects. To date, we have such initiatives in Nepal, Indonesia and Singapore.

Pre-Trek Support

Whichever trek/climb you choose to join, the pre-trek/climb support we provide are by our staff who have years of experience in treks/climbs and been to the respective destination. We cover :

Xueshan (Snow Mountain) 3886m - 2nd Tallest Mountain in Taiwan 17-21 Oct 2020

This is our autumn Xueshan trek for 2020. Permits can now be applied 4 months in advance. For those who wish to join our 17-21 Oct 2020 team, please register by 8 Jun 2020. There is a high chance that 369 Hut in Xueshan may be closed from 2021 onwards for a few years of renovation. If you have been aiming to climb Xueshan, do consider heading there in 2020 ! Xueshan (3886m) is a little lower than Yushan (3952m) but considered a tougher peak to climb and more scenic. To cater to a broader variety of fitness level and trekking experience and create a higher chance for summit, our Xueshan itinerary is a 3 days climb instead of 2 days. For those who have the time and keen to also climb Yushan (http://aceadventure.com.sg/events/jade-mountain-yushan) during the same trip, we have a Yushan trek scheduled back-to-back with Xueshan. About Xueshan The island of Taiwan has more than 100 mountains exceeding 3000m with the highest being Yushan(3952m) and 2nd highest being Xueshan(3886m). Both peaks are part of the famous "Top 100 Peaks of Taiwan" (台灣百岳) and are located in central Taiwan with Yushan in The Yushan National Park in Xinyi, Nantou Country and Xueshan in Sheipa National Park in Dahu Township, Miaoli County. There are two cabins on the trail. The first, Qika Cabin, is located at the 2.0km mark and the second, 369 Cabin, is at the 7.2km mark. Both cabins are more basic and bare than the newly renovated Paiyun in Yushan. There’s only one trailhead (2140m) where your permits are inspected. Other than the two cabins, Xueshan is known for three prominent spots – the “Crying Hill” at the 4km mark with steep ascent to the ridge; the “Black Forest” where tall alpine trees provide a shield against sun light to the forest; and finally the cirque valley above the treeline that opens to an alpine environment. In May and June, the alpine slopes are covered with red and white flowers. Snow can be seen in the winter months between December and February making the climb harder.
