Raspberry Pi & Arduino Night

Open to the public, come work on microcontrollers, Arduinos, Raspberry Pies, whatever you want.

David, resident "expert" will be on hand to help you get started, provide parts to build your own cheap arduino clone, give advice on your current project, or give ideas.

No specific agenda this time around, feel free to come and just hang out and see our awesome space (and consider becoming a member).

I'm in town for Maker Faire and my flight was late so only caught the tail end. But thankfully Scott was around and very friendly.

I'm trying to develop an Arduino app for my son. He's doing some research at home that requires automatically tracking the linear position of several randomly selected items on a belt with poor speed control that's moving through a blind enclosed space about 1 meter long and which has room for about 40 items at a time. If the Arduino had 40 counters, it would be easy, but it doesn't. Any ideas on how to approach this problem would be welcome.
