Blast the Burbs

Unfortunately Arco Iris Gallery has not survived the difficult economy and has closed. Apologies for the missed February meet up. I was again on a search for an interesting venue. I have found one and some of you suburbanites will be pleased with the location.

Stardust Lounge
The owners, Bart and Patty, are fantastic and so is their staff. The customers come back time and again because they know that they are treated like family here. It is also a great place to play pool leagues and they have music on Fridays and Saturdays.

Thank you, Tim and I'm working on the best plan yet. No judgement - no worries, it'll all be good at the right time. Eric is super cool and I can't wait to get together with both of you again.
    Love - Terri

    Eric and others,
I apologize for not showing. I take it seriously when I RSVP yes. I was at a retreat 90 minutes from Denver that ended late. I had my guitar and lyric book. I caught a cold and had no voice left and being as late as I was, sent Terri an email and went home to bed. I love open mics and I WILL be at the next one if I'm in town. I can offer driving anyone from the Boulder area or on the way. Thanks for organizing Terri,
    Tim

I hope to give people confidence, opportunity and encouragement to play at area open mics. I schedule meet ups prior to one when possible with the intention of welcoming everyone to stay and enjoy more local music or sign up to play themselves. In this case, The Stardust Lounge is a neighborhood blue-collar bar. The open mic host is seasoned and energetic and the regulars have mad skills.

Not a fancy location, but a great place to try out your new song or fledgling skills.

As the organizer of this group my goal is to invite singers, songwriters and musicians together to share, inspire and encourage one another. Unfortunately the venue seems to have put off some of our members this time. Please understand that I would never schedule a meet-up in an unsafe location.
    More details to come

It was fun, but only two people other than the organizer showed, I'm wondering why people RSVP yes if they don't plan to come? I did meet some nice, cool people, two there for the meetup and others there for the subsequent open mike, which was fun.
