Acro Yoga 757 - Group for people who enjoy AcroYoga, AcroBalance, Thai Massage, Slacklines, Yoga Swings & other Circus Arts in the Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake & 757 area code to get together & practice. Summer Jams: Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays (weather permitting).

It is also called AcroBalance, AcrobaticYoga, AcroYoga, or just plain ACRO for short. It is a physical practice that emphasizes communication and community. Acro is for everybody and every body.

ACRO YOGA JAM is a unstructured get-together of us Acro Monkeys and a perfect chance for beginners and skilled practitioners to share and play together in a less structured environment. You'll work on basics, warm-ups, acropeutics, handstands, flows, group poses, meet new friends, and most importantly - HAVE TONS OF FUN! Also, we encourage people to find cool poses and flows so we can all try to figure it out.

ACRO YOGA CLASS/WORKSHOP is in a structured setting where you have a specific goal in mind, flows to cover, warm-ups, key areas of easy to intensive exercise to get better, and fun. Contact the instructor for any prerequisites that you may need prior to class.

What is Acro Yoga?

It is the integration of Yoga, Acrobatics, and Healing Arts in the Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, and surrounding Hampton Roads area of Virginia in the area code of 757.

ACRO YOGA - Learn the fun and safe exercise with the combination of the beauty of Yoga with the power of Acrobatics and a dash of the softness of Therapeutics. The interplay of all three disciplines will empower you to embody the practice with grace, ease & joy.

ACRO BALANCE - Confidence & coordination are developed in strength training and inversions, help pave the way for partner Acrobatics. Learn and refine foundations of Acrobatic Techniques such as l-base, foot-to-hand, hand-to-hand & standing acrobatics.

ACROPEUTICS - Also called Thai Massage or Healing Arts. This is where you’ll learn the relaxing, rejuvenating and healing elements of Therapeutic Flying. The sequences will teach you the basic techniques that uses gravity to amplify the healing flow of energy. Great benefits whether you base or fly.

You will be shown the basics of the “AcroYoga Beginners Flow”. This will immerse you in the joys and fun of Acro. Be careful, you may get hooked. Start stretching your hamstrings.
Bring yoga mats, masks, cushions, cameras, towel, ideas, and smiles. Hang out, fly or base, stretch, chill, laugh, observe, learn some cool stuff & most importantly HAVE FUN!

PARKING NOTE: Carpool if possible. There is a Parking Garage on 25th Street and if you show your VB License, it's about $3 for the whole night.

DANCE AERIALS: start at 7:30p - We team up with local swing dance club - SwingVirginia.com - and learn a few dance lifts, throws, spins and other crazy standing stuff based off ole times dance films form the 1940s.

HIGHLY recommend to bring a t-shirt to cover your upper arm, trust us you do NOT want bare arms.
