OCT in Action Design

Greetings Action Designers,

October is right around the corner, and we have some events coming next month.

This coming Monday (01 OCT) is our October project night. Have a project or a work in progress that you would like to present? Let us know! As part of a wider Get Out the Vote initiative, people can also take some time to register to vote that night too.

Get more details and RSVP for the October Open Project Night here.

Based on conversations we've had the past few months during our project nights, we're starting a series of events focused on best practices. To help launch this series, we're happy to be joined with Aidan Hudson-Lapore, a behavior change designer at Mad*Pow. We'll learn the when, why, and how of a scientific literature review, as well as how to synthesize findings and integrate them with traditional design research methods to inform concept development. This session will be held on Thursday, 18 OCT at CIC Boston on 50 Milk Street.

Learn more about the event and Aidan, and RSVP here.

We'll be following this session with a later event focused on facilitating Design Thinking processes for action. We'll be providing more details soon. If you have any questions that you would like to have addressed during the event, please let us know.

October is also the return of FXD, hosted by Mad*Pow. The annual FXD conference provides a unique learning and networking opportunity to move your organization forward to confront new financial industry challenges - inclusion, well-being, education, unmet needs, and many more. FXD is happening Wednesday, 24 OCT to Thursday, 25 OCT.

Action Design members can use the code FXD100 to save $100 off of the current rate!
