What we're about

Action Ski and Snowboard Club is an active social group of mostly age 30+ singles and couples who live, work and play in and around San Diego, California--and ski, board and cross country ski at Mammoth and flyaway destinations. We're much more than just a ski club since we enjoy off-the-slopes activities throughout the year. We hike, camp, happy hour, bicycle, dance, participate in local charity activities, do wine tasting trips and whatever else strikes our fancy.

So you don't even have to ski to have fun with Action! Joining us at a meeting or a happy hour is the best way to find out about Action Ski and Snowboard Club. Going on our trips and activities is the best way to experience us since different members do different things!!! You can count on us to put a *spark* into your week!

Action had a marvelous 2018-2019 ski season with flyaways to Revelstoke, Beaver Creek, and Lake Tahoe and 4 bus trips to Mammoth Mountain. We also went to Steamboat with the San Diego Council of Ski Clubs.

We're in the planning stages for the Action 2019-2020 ski and board season. We already know that, with the San Diego Council of Ski Clubs, we're going to Big Sky, Montana in January 2020.

Only paid up members can sign up for paid events and trips (membership year is Jun 1 - May 31; $40 per person) so sign up and pay membership on our website at www.actionski.org (http://www.actionski.org/).

Mammoth trips include transportation by bus to Mammoth, accommodations at condos or hotels, meals up and back on the bus, movies on the bus, happy hours and/or condo meals, and libations!!!!

Off the slopes activities with San Diego Council of Ski Clubs/FWSA* in 2019-2020 include trips to Australia/New Zealand, Mosel River (bike and barge Germany to France), and Iceland. See Actions website or go to the council's website http://www.skisandiego.org/WARMACTS.HTM to see what they're planning. Since ACTION is a member of the council, our members can sign up for any council activities. *And you must be a member of a council ski club in order to sign up for San Diego Council trips.

CHECK THE MEETING DATE on Action's website www.actionski.org FOR LOCATION of our monthly meetings/happy hours. We occasionally change location and dates due to conflicts, so always best to check the website to confirm.

Our energetic board members are always planning something new and exciting, and members keep coming up with new ideas (see the activities pages for the latest.) New members are always welcomed with open arms! Different events attract different types of members so there are always new people to meet.

As Woody Allen once said, "90% of living is just showing up."

*By virtue of being a Member Club of the San Diego Council of Ski Clubs, we are also part of the Far West Ski Association .
