The Ho Chi Minh in Memorial Park is a great set of single track trails inside the Houston Loop. The trails are used for walking dogs, trail running, hiking, or mountain biking. Its path consists of many tree roots, dirt and broken branches. Parts of the paths are narrow and twisty which makes for an interesting run. All the trail's paths are two-way and loops back into the main 'purple' trail.
There are six color coded trails inside the park. The Purple trail makes a big loop all the way around the baseball fields, circling most of the other trails. The Blue trail makes a small loop that crosses and can combine with the other trails. The Red trail is more of a set of trails that connect back and forth near the entrance to the trail head. The Orange and Yellow Trails are twisty, eroded, and make for a very interesting combination all leading back to the Purple trails.
All paths along each trail intersection usually have posts with colored trail arrows and trail maps.
Bring a water bottle. We will run about a 30-40 min. loop and return back at the 'Purple' trail's head to refill for water then head in for another 30-40 min. loop. Our total run would be between 5-7 miles.
Come and explore the trails with us....
