What we're about

At this meetup we will discuss, get support, exchange ideas on how to handle our aging parents. The role reversal that many face can be difficult. Dementia is very prevelant and is very difficult to see and experience when a loved one has it. Adult Children of Aging Parents face decisions of moving their loved ones to assisted living communities, memory care units or parents staying in the home with home health care agencies. What is a CCRC? What is hospice and who needs it? What is the difference between medicaid, medicare and what is a long term care policy? How do we pay for our parents care? Have they talked to you about their estate plan, will or who will be DPOA? Why are they not remembering things and how can you detect the onset of dementia? Come share your story, meet others facing the same thing and get the resources you need.
