The detached bunkhouse has three bunkrooms; beds and mattresses are provided but please bring a sleeping bag with you (and a pillow should you desire!). There is also a toilet block with showers, please bring a towel with you. Transport/Getting there The weekend is based at Longsleddale Outdoor Pursuits Centre/Bunkhouse which is just under 10 miles north of Kendal in the Lake District, North West England. • Driving – if you are driving, the postcode is LA8 9BE. • Trains - Kendal has two train stations, Kendal and Oxenholme, and Oxenholme will be easier for most, typically with one change at Carlisle if you're travelling from Newcastle. The weekend will finish in Windermere. This is less rural than the accommodation and is therefore easier to travel home from, including regular trains from Windermere Station to both Kendal and Oxenholme for around £6. Food and Drink Food for four meals will be provided: Breakfast, lunch and dinner on the Saturday as well as breakfast on Sunday (lunch on Sunday will be in Windermere).
