Garfield Park Conservatory ~Spring Flower Presentation!!!

Let's stay warm,time for some tropics!!! biggrin Let's do this nice indoor shoot at Garfield Park conservatory! They have several Green houses with different themes. Plus they will have their Spring Flower Presentations beginning Feb First! Perfect for getting out of the cold and getting some Spring Fever going!

The cold weather in Chicago may have just started, but the Garfield Park Conservatory is getting ready for spring! Azaleas and camellias will make their debut on February 1st, and will be joined later in the spring by hydrangeas. By February 1st, we will all need some spring cheer, so we hope you will come by to bask in the colors!

coolMeeting Place: Let's stay warm and meet in the foyer at 10:30am on Saturday morning, i believe there are a couple benches in there. We will go in at 10:45 giving everyone a chance to park and get checked in. If anyone is later than that please meet us inside the first greenhouse as soon as you can get there. City Travel may take extra time due to traffic etc... The Conservatory is on the west side of the street at 300 N. Central Park Ave.

Spring Flower Display

PARKING is FREE! It's just south of the Conservatory's main entrance.

Directions: The Conservatory is Located Just ten minutes from downtown Chicago! Take the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290). Exit at Independence Boulevard (Exit 26A) and travel north. Turn right (east) onto Washington Boulevard. Turn left (north) onto Central Park Avenue.(3600W) Travel two blocks north past the Garfield Park Golden Dome field house and the Lake Street public transit line. The Conservatory is on the west side of the street at 300 N. Central Park Ave.

The Conservatory is located at 300 N. Central Park Ave., 10 minutes west of downtown Chicago and easily accessible by automobile or public transportation. We are open everyday of the year and provide free parking adjacent to the museum. To help plan your visit please view the following maps and directions.

ADMISSION
Admission to the Conservatory is FREE! They do ask for a suggested donation during special events and exhibits. Please check the Shows and Events page for more information.

FREE PARKING is just south of the Conservatory's main entrance.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY
The Conservatory is wheelchair accessible, except for the Fern Room. Visitors using wheelchairs and those who are otherwise unable to climb stairs may enter the Conservatory at the Main Entrance, 300 N. Central Park Ave., via the North or South ramps.
