Iceland – “a trip to fantasy land”

A trip planned by photographers for photographers

Adventures in Photography is planning a return trip the the magical island of Iceland this coming spring. We've photographed it in the summer, will be photographing it in the winter at the end of February and still want to go back for "another bite of the apple". Travel to and photographing in Iceland is that good!!! If you haven't already been there, here's another chance. Don't miss the trip of a life time.

Nothing tells a story of a photographic adventure better than pictures. Keeping that in mind.

The following pages contain photos of typical scenes that we’re likely to encounter in our travels.

After seeing the following images, I suspect that you’ll find it hard to resist traveling with us.

To reserve a spot on the tour, simply send an email to Martin Joffe at [masked] and tell him that you want to be included in the tour. Alternately, you can go to Adventures in Photography Meetup Group located at: http://www.meetup.com/Adventures-In-Photography-Meetup/ once there, simply scroll down to find the trip and sign up.

Just in case you’re still not convinced, let me tell you about the tour.

The focus is on photography in Iceland. The following itinerary describes where we’ll travel to and where we’ll stay as well as some of the basics about each area. Our local tour guide “Oli” will take weather into consideration and will plan each day, in detail, from early morning to late evening to give us the best possible photo ops.

A brief overall description of our tour:

We will arrive at Keflavik International airport around 6:45 a.m. Our local guide, Oli, will meet us at the airport. We’ll then head over to a nice local Icelandic restaurant for a typical Icelandic breakfast.

We’ll then take a 2 hour tour of Reykjavik stopping to take some pictures. After that, we’ll head north to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula  where we’ll spend the next 4 nights.

After the photographing in Snaefellsness, we’ll head to the Lake Myvatn area where we’ll spend the next 4 nights.

After Lake Myvatn, we’ll tour south Iceland moving from place to place and hotel to hotel. Our hotels have been chosen so that we can just step of our door and start taking pictures.

After breakfast and a local tour we’ll travel to the Borgafiord and then on to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. We will overnight in the Hellnar hotel for the next 4 nights.

The second part of our journey will be to the north and north east to the Lake Myvatan area. We’ll overnight in the Gigur hotel on the lake shore for the next 4 nights.

The third part of our journey will first take us through east Iceland to the Vatnajokull Glacier area which is famous for its big contrasts in nature, glaciers, volcanoes, and green valleys. We will stay 1 night in several places.

We will spend the last night in Reykjavik before heading home.

All of the above is just an abridged version of our trip. If you like the full version, just send an email to me at [masked] and put "Iceland Brochure. I'll email you a complete digital brochure with more images, a day to day itinerary and prices.

In order to send you a digital brochure, I'll need your personal email address as I can't send the brochure through Meetup's system.
