This group is for experienced and inexperienced seekers who enjoy learning and experiencing deeper states of relaxation, inner awareness and discovery or who enjoy meeting others with an interest in spirituality. Meets will be scheduled on a bi-weekly basis to explore different forms of meditation, mindfulness and a sampling of techniques. Format: 1/2 hour meditation and 20 minute debrief. Meeting locations will alternate between the Westshore and Victoria/Saanich etc.

Overview of the talk: As human beings, we evolve through life’s challenges and suffering—not through avoidance. In this teaching, Eckhart explains the essential everyday practices to awaken Presence and overcome suffering. These practices include body awareness, incorporating spaciousness, breath awareness, approaching sense perceptions without labels, and a host of other simple techniques that anchor us in the present moment.
