Adventures in Robin Hood w/o the tights - Archery Instruction

  • Jul 30, 2011 · 11:45 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

Time:   Arrive by 11:45 for paperwork. Lessons start at 12 :00pm (2 Hour event)

Equip ment:  All necessary archery equipment is provided. Participants need not purchase any equipment to begin their training. We recommend use of club equipment and not buying your own until you have been through the BAIP class.

Cost:  $8.00. They charge in order to accommodate groups and provide enough instructors Note: They offer free classes on Saturday mornings on a first come first serve basis starting at 7:45am. For those that don't mind the modest fee, want to sleep in and hang with the group, then signup. Payments are made thru Amazon once you RSVP. If you would rather use Paypal then let me know.

What to Wear:  Weather conditions vary widely during a day at the range. Participants should dress in layers. Wear clothes with non-bulky, snug-fitting sleeves (properly fitted long-sleeve T's and sweatshirts are OK). Clothes must be free of large buttons, pins, badges, or other things on the front that can be caught in the bow string. Bring something to tie back long hair. The range is a woodland area and is uneven, dusty and dirty - footwear with heels or open-toes is not suitable. Participants with long hair should bring a hair band to hold the hair back in a pony tail.

What to Bring With You:  A bottle of water - while water is available on the range, it is not convenient to the instruction area. Bring a soft brimmed hat and sunscreen. Particularly important in the summer.

Directions:
We will meet at the parking lot and walk in together Please be on time!

This was a really fun event. I'd recommend getting up early on a Saturday morning and trying it at least once.

I'll take a spot, and I'll pay at the location, since it's in 25 minutes

    July 30, 2011

3 spots have opened this morning. If you want them you'll need to make a payment or can pay at the archery event in cash. For those that dropped I will refund you if someone takes your place, determined by who dropped first.

Parking is free. You're going to have your instructions in a separate area, but the entire place is huge. If you really got into archery, this place is perfect because they have separate hay stacks for practicing scattered all over the places that you could use. You can have your own area to practice. It's a nice place.

  • Bob

    OK, thanks...

    July 27, 2011

  • Jason

Hey Bob...I added a waiting list. I'm only allowed a manual waiting list when payments are required. If something becomes available, the spot will go to whomever takes care of the payment with anyone that does back out.

    July 27, 2011

  • Bob

Thanks Jason. By the way, why isn't there a wait list? Chances are someone who's on the attending list will have last min. plan changes...

    July 26, 2011

  • Jason

Hey Bob...I also called to see if we could add another person and was told 20 was the max. You could also get up early and go in the morning.

Is there a wait list for this event. I would like to attend if someone drops out, thanks...
