Details

The Plan:
If you are interested and or have never been tenting on the dunes on a 3 mile long semi-private beach with friends, this trip is for you. Please don't wait to long to decide the camping sites are going fast. Once you have your site, please send me your site number and I'll mark your RSVP as going, or sharing with someone else. You can also share your site with fellow campers (two tents per site, six people maximum.) Please make your reservations at ReserveAmerica.com and select Hammocks Beach State Park any campsite numbers 1-11, travel by means of the hourly (20 min) ferry, or paddle in on your own. Sites 12-14 are ONLY campers that want to kayak or canoe in (1.5 hr) paddle through the sound, and would not be near the group unless one wants to boat over each day.

Details:
After parking your car check into the park office and load up to take the $5 round trip ferry over to the island. You may have to walk a mile or more to your campsite depending which site you reserve.

What to bring:
tent, food, cookware, shade cover (umbrella), chair, toiletries, towel, small cart or backpack.
