Hello Fellow Hikers! How about getting a little exercise in our beautiful urban oasis, Umstead State Park? The hike is 7.2 miles long, blazed by blue triangles, rocky and rooty. We should be back at the parking lot in a about 2.75 hours, meaning an average pace of pace of about 3-3.5 miles per hour with short breaks for water and/or snacks. I plan to be wearing a weighted backpack, but it is fine if you proceed at a faster pace. Looking forward to seeing you near the
middle set of stairs in the last parking lot.
