John Harris and Andy Rock are very talented, funny and a lot of fun. John teaches audio recording at Mohawk College, and has played from Halifax to Tokyo. Andrew toured with several rock bands through the 70s and 80s, and now works at master control at CTS television in Burlington. Combining rock, blues, classical and celtic influences, their performances provide a rich, varied, and entertaining combination of musical styles. John's refined classical training and Andrew's rough-hewn, gritty rock and blues background fuse in a unique and audience-pleasing musical event.
The Acoustic Blend Cafe, affectionately known as ABC, helps to promote local performers, businesses and artists. It also provides a welcoming gathering place for people to enjoy great music, delicious food and drink, and lots of camaraderie. Each event has an opening performer when possible and a feature performer. Following the feature is Open Mic where you can feel free to perform 1, 2, or 3 songs, read some poetry, do a magic trick or whatever you like to perform. It's a great way to get exposure and work through your nerves. It's also about learning and growing and being supportive to everyone who tries.
It's always a good time at The Acoustic Bend Cafe!
