Length: 10 miles
Elevation Gain: 3300 feet

This classic but strenuous hike in the central section of Shenandoah National Park offers a great view from the summit of Hawksbill Mountain and several cascading waterfalls along the White Oak Canyon Trail. The 10-mile circuit hike with approximately 3300 feet of elevation gain is for experienced hikers only. Bring plenty of water (at least 3 liters), lunch, bug spray, sunscreen and about $16 for transportation, admission and trip fees. We will stop at the Sheetz in Warrenton on our way to the trailhead, where you can buy made-to-order sandwiches for lunch. Meet at 9:00 a.m. at the East Falls Church Metro Kiss & Ride lot.
