Winter Weekend REGISTRATION IS NOW FULL. So is the waiting list. Stay tuned to Meetup in late fall for next year's event registration. RSVPING ON MEETUP IS NOT THE SAME AS REGISTERING FOR THE EVENT. YOU ARE REGISTERED ONLY AFTER YOU RECEIVE A PAYMENT CONFIRMATION EMAIL.

PLEASE READ THE PROSPECTUS (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SomOwA3sl8N-lbAhBYeouD_5a8-iScs36pjymgQXy0Q/edit?usp=sharing)SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU’RE AGREEING TO BEFORE YOU REGISTER. THE REGISTRATION LINK IS IN THE PROSPECTUS.

This is our flagship event of the year and usually sells out way in advance.

Join Adventurous Young Mazamas for two nights in front of the fireplace at historic Mazama Lodge in Government Camp and two days of snowy adventures on the mountain. We'll have snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the day and hot catered breakfasts and dinners, board games, yoga, crafts, sledding and more in the evenings. We can accommodate your dietary needs.

The Lodge is a Mazamas treasure and we all need to contribute to taking care of it. We ask all participants to put in an hour of volunteer service while there. Tasks include stacking and splitting firewood, prepping meals, and cleaning.

We will not have kegs as we have in the past so we can stay in compliance with OLCC rules. Anyone 21 and over is welcome to BYO and please bring something to share. Leaders reserve right to ask anyone behaving disrespectfully or dangerously to leave.

For the first time we are offering introduction to alpine touring/backcountry skiing/splitboarding. You must register for this in advance and a link is in the prospectus. After your paid registration you will receive a carpooling link and a complete prospectus with detailed directions to the Lodge.

Apart from the cross-country ski lesson at Mt. Hood Meadows Nordic Center on Sunday Jan. 28, you must bring your own skis, snowshoes and other equipment. Prospectus has details where to rent.

Bring your slippers, no shoes allowed in the upstairs of the lodge. Also no food in the sleeping areas. There are hot showers, electricity, and wifi on site.

We are looking for a certified yoga instructor among attendees for Saturday evening yoga. Please contact Sándor if that’s you.

Like all Mazamas events, no firearms, drugs, or pets. No alcohol on or before the trail. Exact day trips will only be announced the evening before based on weather, conditions, and participant demand.

If you have a question that has not been answered by the prospectus, ask using the comments on Meetup. Someone else may have the same question.

$95 for Mazama members and $125 for non-members. Limited to 65 participants.

Please make sure you are committed before registering. We will offer discounts of 50% of your fee for cancellations by January 12. After January 12, no refunds, though please advise if you cannot come so we can offer someone else a spot. Cancel by emailing [masked]

By registering, you are agreeing to the conditions of AYM (https://www.meetup.com/Adventurous-Young-Mazamas), and Mazamas (https://mazamas.org/pdf/forms/lr_waiver_single.pdf).
