Neurodiversity: authentic forms of human diversity, self-expression, and being.
While as parents and caregivers a child that is neurodiverse can be more challenging, need more support, and ask more of us at times than we think we can possibly give, the reality is our children are extraordinarily special people and we need to celebrate their differences too.
We know all too well the pressure to fit our child into a life that does not meet their needs or celebrate their talents. With all the love and care we have for our child the undertaking of showing the world how special they are and what they can do is a battle we sometimes feel we will never win. The heartbreak seems immeasurable, but their differences are what make them amazingly talented in ways their own and enables them to make exceptional contributions to the world we would never have expected.
When you meet with other parents and caregivers facing the same hurdles that can make all the difference. What is challenging about your child will be the same for another. And what makes each child so unique we can celebrate. We’ll discuss and share all the wonderful qualities that make up that neurodiverse child of yours in a positive and supportive environment.
Included underneath the umbrella of the diversity spectrum will be Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Dyscalculia, Autistic Spectrum, Tourette Syndrome, ODD, and others. Rarely does one condition ever exist on its own.
This is an opportunity to make new friends enriching one another others lives in ways that are uniquely ours. Come make friends, meet other families, share some laughs, and have fun!! Can’t wait to hear from You!
