The Aetherius Society is a non-profit spiritual and metaphysical organization founded in 1955 by the western Yoga Master, Dr. George King.

Our teachings are based on yogic knowledge, and also include a wide spectrum of philosophy, religion, metaphysics, and the spiritual sciences:

Karma yoga - We believe selfless service to others is a key component for advancement in these days.
Yoga philosophy and practice, including yoga breathing (pranayama) and the chanting of mantra (japa yoga).
Spiritual energy, prayer and healing.
God is all - We all come from the Divine source – and we will all eventually return to this source.
Intuition and psychic development.
The Mother Earth - we believe that the Earth is a living, breathing entity.
Extraterrestrial life.
Ascended Masters.

We regularly hold workshops, lectures, and Services at our temple in Hollywood, and also have online offerings as well. Our goal is to help raise the consciousness of humanity and to help heal the world, so that we can create a better future for all.

About Dr. George King:
Dr. George King (1919-1997) was a Master of Yoga, able to achieve the highest states of meditation which allowed him to channel messages through a positive yogic samadhic trance state, and the author of many books on spirituality. In fact, he was a fantastic lecturer and did his best to explain and demystify deep metaphysical and yogic teachings so that anyone, no matter what part of the world they were from, could understand and apply the logic in their lives.

In 1955 he founded The Aetherius Society shortly after he was contacted in London by an extraterrestrial intelligence known as “Aetherius.” Our teachings consist of the wisdom by the Master Aetherius, the Master Jesus, and many other advanced intelligences.
