Are you aware that this drum class Meetup may happen on Wednesday & Thursday evenings and we only want you to join on the condition that you are signing up to be a participant.

Do you have prior African hand drumming experience?

If yes, are you familiar with the Gun, Go, Do, Pa, Ta drum language?

I own many djembes.

Do you own your own djembe?

I've been playing and hosting African drum classes for many years. I was first exposed to the "djembe" by the late great Nigerian master drummer, Babatunde Olatunji.

What Ron K. is saying about this Meetup Group

This particular class, taught by Quint Lange has been ongoing for around 2 years. Quint is very thorough in his approach. Not only will you learn the rhythms, you will also get a bit of a history lesson as well. What's the country of origin? What's the rhythm mean? When is it played? We also have just GREAT, GREAT, FUN time in class! We insiders like to call it "African Drumming, Comedy and Shape Shifting Class.
