RE: [agile-24] Feedback on people's interest and needs

Chris,

I’m definitely interested.  I’ve attempted to make the trek down to Boulder a couple of times and my attendance has always been OBE.  I might be able to facilitate a meeting place through my work, too.  Please feel free to contact me off-list, if you’d like.

  Cheers -- Scot

We’ve been thinking about starting an agile meetup for Northern Colorado and Wyoming based out of the Fort Collins area.  If anyone’s interested in the Ft. Collins meetup, let me know.  Boulder is a bit far for most of us up here and in Wyoming.  However, if you held your meetup in the Ft. Collins area on a rotating basis, I’m sure you’d get good attendance.

I've been horrible lately trying to schedule these on a regular basis. I've been traveling a lot so it has been challenging for me to predict when I'll be in town. We have lots of people signed up, but the meetings we've had have been pretty consistent in getting 5-8 people to show up. The goal of the meetup was to have people getting together to talk about agile software development and to get connected.

What should we do differently to get better attendance?
Is Boulder the best location or should we move it around to other close by places?
Is having in on a consistent day and time good? I'm on the Boulder-Denver New Tech meetup and they are great at having it always on the same day, time and place. But I haven't attended many lately due to schedule conflicts.

I'd like to get this going better. Share your thoughts and suggestions and we see what shakes out.

Jean
