Agile Denver Kanban SIG: is a forum for those interested in learning with others about applying lean and agile principles along with pull/kanban system concepts to assist with catalyzing and effectively managing change to improve their business workflow processes, and to predictably forecast and answer the question “When will it be done?” It is a special interest group (SIG) of the Agile Denver group, and is also loosely associated with the global Lean & Kanban University (http://edu.leankanban.com) and the Limited WIP Society.
Our April Agile Denver Kanban SIG meeting is scheduled for Thu 4/13. We again thank Steven Archer and Kaiser Permanente for graciously offering to host our meet-up at the Kaiser Permanente IT Building in Englewood (see details below).
We continue with alternating each month between an “advance topic” led by senior practitioners, and an “open mic/any-level topic” suggested by attendees. This month is an “open mic/any-level topic” month. Please post your suggestions for a topic as a comment to this post.
After the deep dive we’ll continue using a “lean coffee” format for the 2nd hour of our meeting to do some quicker hits in a just-in-time manner on a number of other topics of interest to those attending. We look forward to the sharing from our many regular attendees, and always enjoy welcoming “first-timers” to our SIG.
Two Special Announcements:
1) Reminder -the Agile Denver Kanban SIG will not meet in May! Many (me, you, us) are volunteers at/or attending Agile Devner's Mile High Agile 2017 conference on May 22-23 (hope to see you there!). So in practicing what we preach, we limit our WIP in May :)
2) Lean Kanban North America 2017 (LKNA17) Conference and Kanban Leadership Retreat (KLR17) (http://lkna17.leankanban.com) - these are two events held back-to-back during the week of 5/8. Click the link above for more info. If interested, please ping me for a discount code that allows you to register at the "early bird" rates listed up until 3/31.
