Join Agile 757 for our October 3rd Meetup: "Does Your Team Need Psychotherapy?”

Click here to register or for more information

When:  Thursday 10/3/19, 6:00 – 8:00 PM

Where: Main Street Library in Newport News

Abstract:
Experienced Agilists know that new ways of working are not sustainable apart from deep culture change. But their teams’ cultural artifacts— values statements, social contracts, and other "intangibles"—are not effective because they are not actionable and measurable. This session will provide new tools for the Agile toolbox: simple, psychotherapeutic principles and practices, proven to build high-performing teams and transform organizational culture, that may be introduced subtly by any Agile leader. We will walk through a simple Agile retrospective to demonstrate one way high-performing Agile teams are beginning to integrate psychotherapeutic techniques.

Speaker:   Maurice "Mo" Hogar is a guest speaker coming all the way from Raleigh, NC to speak for us.
A former CIO, Maurice "Mo" Hogar" is an enterprise Agile coach based in the USA. He has helped more than 60 Fortune 500 companies around the world, currently IBM, accelerate organizational change, performance, and outcomes. And he is at the forefront of a global conversation on the integration of Agile and psychology, including Positive Psychology, Appreciative Inquiry, and Solution Focused Therapy.
