Book Club - Scrum Product Ownership 3rd Ed

Topic: Scrum Product Ownership 3rd Ed

We're doing something a bit different: an in-depth pre-publication review of Bob Galen's Scrum Product Ownership -- Balancing Value from the Inside Out, 3rd Edition.

Bob is an agile consultant of national and international stature, and is well-known to the Agile Austin community as a popular speaker at the Keep Austin Agile conference.

Since this is pre-publication, the book is only available as a review copy pdf. AFTER you register for this session, send an email to [masked] with GALEN in the subject, I'll send you a Google-Drive share-link to the PDF within one business day. Do NOT share that link or the PDF with anyone else, and you will only be able to access the document from the email you use to make the request.

This first session, we're going to review the Organizational section, chapters 14-19. However, please first read page 3, where Bob describes what will benefit him most: he's looking for substantive remarks about content depth and flow. Let's give him our best.

We'll continue our review on February 2 and quite likely on February 16 as well. We'll pick the specific reading target for February 2 at the January 19 meeting.

Book Club Info:

Food and Drink will be provided courtesy of Agile Austin.

Book Club meets 1st and 3rd Thursdays of most months, why not add a recurring event to your calendar? And if you attend "most" sessions, we'll even reimburse the cost of the book, so save that receipt.

Seating is limited!

Please commit to reading the selected part of the book before the session, and make sure that you are able to attend this session. Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. We want to give everyone the opportunity to attend, so please only sign up if you are committed to attending.

I'm sorry I can't make this one, but I'll be taking care of my ailing wife.

and still want to read the book, send that email as noted above and I'll send a link. You can still contribute your notes to the Google Group, and hey, maybe we'll just order more food and bring everybody who's waiting.

Don't do this unless you're SERIOUS about reading the book and contributing notes. Thanks!
