Enabling SCRUM in a large multinational - Changing tools. Meetup w. Knud Poulsen

  • Mar 22, 2013 · 3:30 PM

When moving to SCRUM in a large organization, you often encounter hard technical and organizational constraints on the way - this is the story of how a very large software development organization renewed their tools to enable continuous integration as part of moving to SCRUM.

In Tecpoint, we have invited Knud Poulsen to tell about his experiences with improving the toolchain at a large multinational R&D organization. The renewal was initiated to enable Continuous Integration as part of a large, corporate effort to move to SCRUM!

Knud and his team caused a small revolution to the software development infrastructure by replacing retirement-ready commercial/proprietary configuration- and release-management tools with the most viable open source options.

Normally change projects like this is what most managers will shy away from - and for good reasons. But, in this case, the change was managed with benefits from day one and with an amazing overall impact on the whole organizations performance - and ability to work using SCRUM.

Meetup and hear the full story!

Topics: SCM, CI, TA, Git, Jenkins, Gerrit, ... and stuff like that!

Everyone is welcome, but please register, so that we know that you are attending. If you are already a member of Tecpoint, you can also register directly to Kristine Ploug - email [masked].
