What is Hacktoberfest? We thought you would never ask!

Hacktoberfest invites you to participate in the open-source community, and rewards you with a free t-shirt! Beginners too!

In 2018, DigitalOcean and GitHub sent free t-shirts to 50,000 people who contributed to 5 public projects in the month of October. Besides cool swag, contributing to projects is a great exercise for all developers, and a nice way to enhance your resume. Not sure where to start? Akron Women in Tech has you covered.

We are dedicating not one, not two, but THREE meetups to a successful and happy Hacktober for all!
