Friedrich Wilderness Park Hike

Join us for a winter hike on the wooded scenic trails in the tranquil natural setting of Friedrich Wilderness Park, just outside of Loop 1604.
Meet at 8:45 a.m. in the Park parking lot, near the trailhead. We will hike about 3-4 miles, over varied terrain at a moderate pace but with some steep rocky climbs/descents that are challenging and require reasonable fitness.
Bring water and wear sturdy ankle-supporting shoes. Minors must be accompanied by adult parent or guardian or with Medical Authorization and Consent Form.
Directions: Friedrich Wilderness Park is at 21935 Milsa Rd. Take 1-10 N to Exit 552 (Dominion Dr.), go one mile north on access road, then u-turn around south on access road and turn right (west) on Milsa.
No charge, but donations to the Alamo Sierra Club are welcome. For further information and to sign up for this beautiful hike, contact the leader Nancy Anderson at [masked] or (210) 833-1291. Assistant leader Chris Anderson.

I'm looking forward to our hike in beautiful Friedrich Park this Saturday, Jan. 18, at 8:45. I want to remind you that although the hike is not long in distance, it does include several short but steep rocky ascents, requiring good leg strength (but with beautiful vistas as a reward.) If you are not in good physical condition, this is probably not the best hike for you. Do contact me if you have any questions.
